in a row & finish 3rd in the final league table.
Report.
On Saturday the Northants team won their final game of the season
away at Horton House & are promoted
as champions. Despite some of the opposition in the league not being
of a great standard, you can only play the team that turns up on the
day & as you have to enter the league in the lowest division & play
against other clubs 3rd & 4th teams that was always going to be the
case. Well done to Jamie & his small squad of players. Job done.
The Junior Presentation evening up at the

parents for the final junior evening of the year.

Despite the weather on Monday 30th May, the official
opening went ahead but
unfortunately no cricket was possible. Mike Turner MBE, a key figure
in securing funds for the club, performed the opening ceremony which
was watched by a good crowd standing out in the rain.
The club would like everyone that has
supported our project which has resulted in a fantastic sporting
facility for the town.

The club hosted an 'international' fixture recently when a team
from Norway visited the club. Very enthusiastic cricketers, the Norwegians were just not quite
good enough to cause the likes of John & Mickey Clarke, John Tilley
& Mark Barnett any problems & Uppingham recorded an easy victory.
International relations between the two countries were further
cemented in the bar after the game & the Ducks are already planning
to return next year. www.bislettducks.no
The outdoor nets/practice nights have now begun
with the U15's, U17's & seniors on Wednesdays & on Thursdays the U9 - U13's. Both

ground. All players new & old, boys & girls are very welcome to come
along & have a look at our new facilities. The girls coaching will
be taken by James Booth.
We are
asking our members, supporters, companies, local businesses
etc to sponsor a brick for our ‘Wall of Support’. The wall
will feature in a prominent position in the new pavilion.
You are free to have
wording of your choice (subject to the clubs approval) on
your brick & you are not restricted to having just one
brick.
Each brick
costs a minimum of £50 but you may donate more if
you wish.
We really hope that you’ll be able to support the
club in the final stages of our project.
Every pound we can raise now will help us provide a
top-class sporting facility.

every sense to look after youngsters and promote cricket
