Following last years dismal response to the request
for photos of club members in their
UTCC shirts around the world, I thought we would give it another try
this year. The first picture received was from Ed Scott who wore his
shirt while over in Kenya.
We are a Focus Club & we have now
also gained ECB ClubMark accreditation whereby we have demonstrated that we are fully equipped in
every sense to look after youngsters and promote cricket
to the youth of the community.
To comply with ClubMark regulations we have a
Child Welfare Officer and we ensure that sufficient
qualified coaches and supplementary
helpers are always
available to look after all of our colts.
All of our coaches and helpers have undergone
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks and all coaches
have taken first aid courses in addition to their
level 1 or 2 cricket coaching courses.
You can rest assured that your children are in
safe hands at the club.
We are looking to find out as much about the clubs
history as possible. If you have any old
documents, photographs etc that relate to the club that we could have,
or have copies of, please pass them on to a committee member.
Any early
memories or stories about the club would also be of great interest. Many
thanks to club president the late Peter Scott for his contribution.
If any club captains or officials have any reports or information
that they would like posted on the site, please send it to me at
kevbennett@uppinghamtowncc.co.uk
(Ideally in Word or Excel formats).
